Peace Book

The neon-bright colors of the pictures jump out at the reader in this meditation on the meaning of peace. Author/artist Parr describes peace in a variety of ways aimed at children: helping your neighbor, keeping the water blue for all the fish, having enough pizza for everyone in the world. Wearing different clothes is illustrated with a picture of a young girl in bell bottoms standing beside someone in a burqa. The intensity of the illustrations' colors cannot be exaggerated.
